Cloud Computing — 19 May 2010
Netflix announced last week that they are moving much of their infrastructure into the Amazon cloud using EC2 and S3 to deliver movie lists, stream content, and a bunch of other stuff. Incredible move. Rumors have also been abound that Overstock is moving their entire infrastructure into the Microsoft Azure cloud. We will continue to see large established dot coms move into the clouds, especially as their being offered deals by Microsoft and Amazon for cost-saving migration support and anything they need for a number of years.
